When is the best time to have your child checked by a chiropractor? We suggest... the earlier the better! Many of our youngest patients are newborn babies. When it comes to children's' health, prevention is key. The sooner you start them on the road to optimal health, the better off their future will be. Babies and toddlers are experiencing growth and development more rapidly than any other time in their lives.
Adjustments for children are tailored to the patients age and size. An adjustment for a newborn baby is very different than an adjustment for an older child or teenager. In fact, adjustments for our littlest patients can be accomplished by Dr. Erica using the tip of her pinky and holding a slight amount of pressure. Adjustments for all of our patients are safe, gentle and specific.
No matter your child's age, we want to make them feel as comfortable as possible in a new environment. We have books and toys to play with. If they are of age to understand, we will explain everything that we're doing and show them any equipment being used so that nothing is a surprise.
